Up to now, Suzhou Vocational Institute of Industrial Technology offers 30 specialties, in which there are 2 key specialties funded by central government, 1 provincial characteristic specialty, 4 provincial key model specialties and 3 provincial key specialty groups. All the specialties focus on the students’ practices. In recent years, SIIT expand co-operation to attract some enterprises to start their new branches on campus, sharing their equipment. We are now the first vocational college owning “EMC Lab” throughout the whole country. With the accomplishment of “Three Coordinate Measuring Training Room” and the first “CA” in the colleges of Jiangsu province, supported by Taiwan Development Association of Embedded Microchip, on-campus practice facilities are greatly improved. We now dynamically operate 353 off-campus internship bases and kepp close relations with 79 ones in Suzhou.

The staff have published more than 66 textbooks, 3 of which are designated national “12th five-year plan” textbooks, and 2 Jiangsu provincial “12th five-year plan” key textbooks.

In the professional skills competition, our students have gained 341 awards at various levels, especially the first place of the first prize in the national vocational skills contest, and we were also awarded “Special Contribution” in Jiangsu province professional skills competition and the title of “advanced college”.
